Meatless Special - 3 Egg

Chris’ Cafe

56 E 1700 S, Clearfield, UT 84015

Clearfield | Diner Sit Down | American Breakfast and Lunch

It was my first visit to Chris’ Cafe, and I was impressed with how efficiently I was seated and how warm the service was. Sometimes you don’t need an Instagram ready, flower-on-the-plate with a swish of sauce meal for too much money. Sometimes you need honest cooking from a comfortable restaurant. Chris’ Cafe delivered on that premise. The interior is decorated a bit like a biker garage with special attention given to a booth containing a Missing Man Table. From the signage and awards, Chris’ Cafe is a big supporter of veterans.

I ordered the Meatless Special #6 with wheat toast and 3 eggs over medium for my meal. I always like to check if a diner can cook an over medium egg with the right consistency and these were perfect. The hash browns were a good mix of crunchy and soft and the buttered toast complimented the meal well. Next time I visit I will have to branch out into some of their sweeter offerings. I watched three giant, plate sized pancakes being set in front of a growing teenager, he didn’t stand a chance of finishing. Portions were great and the value and warmth of the service will see me return.

Order for First Timers for Two

1x Chris’ Special - Diner staples. + Something Sweet (Pancakes looked great to me, next time!)
