Farmington Bird Walk | Saturday 4/25 9am
“Join a guide for a fun and causal birding walk along our 1-mile nature trail loop every Saturday at 9:00 AM, April 18 thru June 20, 2026. The trail features scenic boardwalks over a large pond within the Robert N. Hasenyager Great Salt Lake Nature Reserve, near the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area — a prime spot for spring birdwatching. It’s a great chance to get outside, enjoy the wetlands, and connect with other people who enjoy nature. Whether you're a seasoned birder or just curious, all are welcome!
Registration is not required. Meet in the parking lot. This event is free to attend, but we ask guests to bring a non-perishable canned food item to donate. We’ve partnered with the Bountiful Food Pantry to support those facing food insecurity in our community.”

Golden Fish and Chips

Sticky Toffee Pudding
Little Taste of Britain 🇬🇧
Layton · British Counter Service
On Monday, I was out with the family to enjoy some fish and chips at Little Taste of Britain. I have visited a few times and always enjoy the ambience of the seaside British town booths and many Union Jacks, royal memorabilia, and pieces of British culture. Rather than hop on a 10-hour flight you can drive to Layton instead.
The food is good but heavy. Lots of fried options including the best dish the fish and chips. The Brits typically eat fish and chips with malt vinegar which is on each table but you can try it with their tartar sauce instead. Other options are the bangers and mash, beans, and for the brave — mushy peas.
One special call out is to make sure to order the sticky toffee pudding as it is an iconic British dessert. It is the perfect end to a meal with rich custard and caramelized sauce over something close to cake. The essential British ‘pud’. There is a small shop inside that has many British favorites. Don’t miss the European chocolate or the “biscuits” (cookies).
First Time Order for Two:
2 piece fish and chips add tartar sauce and fry sauce + sticky toffee pudding + grab 2 cans of Vimto or Tango soda from the fridge
