I have been frequenting Mak Mak since they opened 2 years ago. They have evolved since their early days but have always impressed me with their dynamic menu. I have tried many dishes at Mak Mak but always return to the massaman curry. It is subtly sweet and flavorful and is a safer choice for those opposed to spice. Mak Mak also has excellent egg rolls and they rotate special dishes to keep the menu exciting. You can find discounts right now for Mak Mak on the back of a Smith’s receipt on 5th in Bountiful.
One of the things about Mak Mak that I underestimated on their opening was how much I appreciate not having to deal with a tip screen. There is so much tip fatigue in dining out these days. When Mak Mak says they prefer a review to a tip they mean it. Mak Mak currently has over 1.4k reviews which for a 2 year old restaurant is astounding.
